The Icelandic Maritime Officers 'Association was founded in January 2004 by a merger of shipmasters' unions.
The Association is a trade union, which takes care of members interests, rights, education, safety and professional status.
The Association's main tasks is to protect the interests of members, both towards employers, the government and other stakeholders.
