The company launched BioGuard SWIFT, a breakthrough in water treatment technology and strengthened its organization, including the successful integration and reorganization of Aqua.is which is now operating as NP Innovation Iceland.
Defining moments in 2025 were HAF Investment’s and Alfa Framtak becoming the majority owner of NP Innovation. With its new ownership structure, the company has gained greater strength, expertise, and experience — paving the way for continued innovation and sustainable growth within the aquaculture industry.
NP Innovation also decided to bring final assembly operations in-house and, to facilitate this, moved into larger facilities in Sweden at the end of the year. With final assembly under its own management, the company will have tighter operational control, improved lead times, and the ability to further enhance quality and efficiency for its customers.
Michael Bäärnhielm, CEO, NP Innovation, commented, “We are deeply committed to continuing the journey we’ve started. Our ambition is to be the most trusted and forward-thinking supplier in the aquaculture industry — ensuring the best possible conditions for fish health worldwide. There’s so much happening here, and I’d like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to join us and be part of this exciting journey”.
NP Innovation will exhibit at IceFish on stand H25 in the new Aquaculture Hub.
