IceFish has already hosted several VIP and trade delegations during the first two days of the event.
On the first day Iceland's Minister of Industries, Hanna Katrín Friðriksson visited together with the Chair of the Kópavogur Municipal Council, Andri Steinn Hilmarsson, touring the event and meeting both Icelandic and international exhibitors.
The Japanese Ambassador to Iceland, Keizo Takewaka, visited on Wednesday. He enjoyed a tour of exhibitor stands and was particularly pleased to visit Japanese company, Momoi Fishing Net MFG. Co., Ltd. The company were in celebratory mood, having just won an IceFish Innovation Award for their Ecoloop Project.
IceFish also welcomed the Head of Representation of the Faroe Islands to Iceland, Hanna í Horni. The Faroese Pavilion has long been a feature at the exhibition, and the attending companies were delighted to welcome Hanna. Her visit was completed with a tour of the other features at the event and a visit to Norwegian company, Optimar.
The visits on Wednesday were rounded off with a visit from María Luisa Marteles Gutiérrez del Álamo, Counsellor of the Spanish diplomatic office in Iceland. She attended the event with representatives of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Oslo.
