Ísfell, a leading company in sales, service, and design of fishing gear, is now offering AuroraNet, a new and advanced product line of knotless UHMWPE nets, designed to meet the aquaculture industry’s increasing demands for efficiency and safer operations.
AuroraNet is manufactured from a lightweight and highly abrasion-resistant UHMWPE material that combines low weight, high strength, and easy handling, even under demanding conditions. The lighter netting reduces workload, simplifies daily operations, and lowers handling costs, while improved water flow creates better conditions for the fish and reduces strain on the mooring system.
Ísfell will be exhibiting at the 2026 IceFish, on stand E22, where visitors will be able to find out more about its range of products and its commitment to reducing the negative environmental impact in its operations. The company recently announced that it wants to reduce its carbon footprint, both at sea and on land. To reduce waste, Ísfell offers services for collecting used fishing equipment from its customers to ensure it is recycled properly.
Ísfell operates 7 service stations around Iceland: Akureyri, Hafnarfjörður, Húsavík, Ólafsfjörður, Patreksfjörður, Sauðárkrókur and Vestmannaeyjar.
A key aspect of Ísfell’s product development is its excellent cooperation with its suppliers, fishing companies, fishermen, and clients to understand their needs and expectations, and improve products and service for their customers.
