Pavilion of Denmark at IceFish confirms country's strong connections

Outside of Iceland itself no country can claim a closer connection to IceFish than Denmark, with the Pavilion of Denmark at the heart of the Exhibition space at the event. With 20 companies embraced by the national hub, the Pavilion encompasses the "entire value chain" says Lise-Marie Robichon Hornsved, Project Manager with the Danish Export Association.
"So we have companies specialised within the fisheries, the commercial fisheries section, and we have a lot of companies specialised in aquaculture because there's so much happening here in Iceland."
She notes that at the last IceFish in 2024 Denmark received a diploma for its support of the exhibition from the very beginning. Aside from the historical ties between Iceland and Denmark, IceFish provides a particularly positive meeting ground, adds Hornsved.
"I think it's a really good international platform to meet, especially with the right stakeholders in Iceland, and I think that's why a lot of people come here. "And I think that the Danish companies have been innovative and willing to always have this connection, and the dialogue with the industry, to develop the right solutions for the industry.
"It has been a close dialogue with customers and the industry itself to find the right solutions, and that is one of the real values of an event like this that you can have those conversations – and that's where the driver for innovation comes from," she added.
