Magnús Þór Ásgeirsson, Managing Director of NP Innovation, shares his reflections from the Aquaculture Conference at IceFish, highlighting the importance of industry collaboration and the challenges facing the sector.
Speaking at the conference on day 2 of the event, Magnús Þór Ásgeirsson, Managing Director NP Innovation shared insights from his experience working across aquaculture.
Asgeirsson highlighted the importance of conferences like IceFish, which are about far more than exhibitions, but opportunities for conversations and a chance to connect with other industry professionals.
Magnús commented “For me, conferences like this are about much more than presentations and exhibition stands. They are about conversations, exchanging ideas and understanding where the industry is heading.”
Key issues facing the industry include fish welfare, water and energy efficiency, sustainability, automation and the growing role of technology in creating more resilient aquaculture operations. IceFish allows attendees to exchange ideas and discuss the direction of the fishing and aquaculture industry.
As IceFish reaches its conclusion today, the connections made and discussions held throughout the event provide opportunities for continued collaboration and knowledge sharing across the sector.
