What: Recognising the depth of excellence in the Icelandic commercial fishing and aquaculture industry.

One of the highlights of IceFish is the Icelandic Fisheries & Aquaculture Awards, which recognise outstanding achievements within the fishing, aquaculture and seafood sectors. First introduced in 1999, the awards are now considered a benchmark of excellence.

The categories for 2026 are:

PEOPLE

The People category celebrates the individuals driving excellence across the commercial fishing and aquaculture industries.

Outstanding Icelandic skipper

Lifetime Achievement (Icelandic)

Together, the categories recognise everything from innovative projects and sustainable practices to outstanding professional achievement and leadership.

HOW TO ENTER

1) To enter the Innovation Awards, use the button below.

2) Nominate a Person, Project or Company or enter your own by clicking nominate below.

Anyone who is an IceFish exhibitor, or one of their employees, can enter or be nominated.

There are just 2 rules to qualify an entry:

The equipment, service, or vessel entry must have been released to market in the period since the last IceFish (20 September 2024). Project entries must have been launched within this time frame.
The entry must be innovative (not simply a product enhancement)

Entry for IceFish Exhibitors is free. Non-exhibitors will be subject to an entry fee of ISK 91,500
