Lifetime of dedication honoured at IceFish

The Icelandic Lifetime Achievement Award was jointly presented at the IceFish Exhibition this afternoon to Örn Pálsson and Arthur Bogason in recognition of four decades of unwavering dedication to Iceland’s small-boat fishing sector.

Sponsored by Hampidjan, the prestigious award goes to individuals whose contributions to Icelandic fisheries have left a lasting legacy and shaped today's industry. 

It was presented today by Hjörtur Erlendsson, CEO of Hampidjan, to Örn Pálsson in person, and to Kjartan Sveinsson, who followed in Arthur Bogason's footsteps as Chairman of NASBO, the National Association of Small Boat Owners, Landssamband smábátaeigenda.

A fitting industry tribute to mark the end of an extraordinary era.
